MUST HAVE NOW!!
Okay....okay....besides loving designer bags I am also quite a techy dork. I really want the ipad!! I think everybody does! I already emailed my brother in the states to get one for me but according to http://www.wired.com/: "You know you can’t obtain an iPad for least three months, but you may not know the reason you can’t even buy one in advance: Apple has not yet obtained the necessary Federal Communications Commission approval to unleash it on the nation’s airwaves." So I guess I will just have to sit and wait. What is your must have now item? Leave a comment below.

Beware of Fakes!
My cousin was sent an email the other day from a girl (who shall remain anonymous) selling her "authentic" louis vuitton tahitienne GM bag. My cousin forwarded me the email and as soon as I saw the bag and price I wanted to immediately buy it. It was in perfect condition and was (according to the girl) only purchased 3 months ago and she was letting go of it at only 35,000Php. What made me doubt and inspect the pictures further however where 2 facts:
1. the tahitienne is limited edition and was only manufactured in 2008
2. she's selling it for such a low price at such great condition.
You see, I own a tahitienne and I should've been able to see the signs right away but I didn't. It was only those two facts that probed me to investigate further and here is what I found:
note: the green is the fake and the beige is the authentic one
REPLICA:
Observe the pattern. Louis Vuitton is very particular with patterns. The gold LV plate here is a little bit below the diamond shaped symbol showing the tip of it and the two flower like sybols on wither side are not touched.
AUTHENTIC:
In the original one, the LV gold plate is right above the diamond symbol covering its tip and hitting both petals on the left and right sides of the flower symbols
REPLICA:
The shape of the leather zipper pocket is like an oval and the stamping of the louis vuitton name is in white
AUTHENTIC:
The stamp in the inside pocket is gold and mind the shape. It is somewhat of an inverted trapezoid.
REPLICA:
The zipper is way too long
AUTHENTIC:
The zipper and pocket of the authentic one
Please be very very careful before buying pre-owned bags. Lavish Manila ALWAYS suggests that bags be inspected before purchase. Especially bags that are limited edition, like this tahitienne, because it is rare and not many are out there to compare it too. There are great sites out there that you can google that will help you authenticate all sorts of designer merchandise. In the case of this fake tahitienne bag, the person used a real LV dustbag and bag to make it look even more authentic. Be careful!

What's in my bag
All the essentials
chanel wallet, chanel coin purse, pen, notebook for doodles and ideas, calling cards
hair clip, pepper spray, gap heaven body mist, hand gel, facial absorbent paper( for oil control), blistex (such a lip saver!), mirror, shades
My gadgets. I get bored easily and these really help me out. Psp, ipod classic, cell phone, ipod shuffle, usb. You are probably wondering why I bring 2 ipods with me. The shuffle is for the days I decide to workout. Its easier for me to bring it while I run.
And last but not least, my trusty camera (with no pic) because I am using it to take the photos....and yes, they all fit into my jumbo flap! Believe it or not. :D
What's in your bag?

Intro
This blog is created for those who have a passion for the finer things in life. Chanel Addicts, Birkin Devotees, Gucci enthusiasts, Balnciaga Junkies, Louis Vuitton zealots, injurious aficionados of the designer world....you get me. If you are one of these, look in the mirror and say to yourself: Hi! My name is (Insert name here) and I am a (insert designer here) addict!
In my case it would go: Hi! My name is Mary and I am a Chanel addict! However, I prefer the title Chanel enthusiast because the word addict has a myriad of negative connotations. My love of Chanel first began during the Christmas of 5th grade when my father and mother gave me my first Chanel mini quilted sling. I remember the first time I saw this beautiful creation. That deep black with gold hardware put all of my bags to shame. A love affair had begun. Over the years my collection quickly expanded. They are proudly tucked away in their dust bags and boxes where I can marvel at the pristine packaging and beautiful colors. I drool like a child in a candy store. Here is a photo of one of my favorite Chanel bags (modeled by my dog Goliath) as well as one of my Chanel LBD's.
